In the brewery district of River North tour some of the 45 breweries located in this capital city. We’ll ride the historic railroad along the Animas River, through wilderness inaccessible by any road, for a steam-powered arrival into Durango.
DAY 6: Visit Mesa Verde National Park, the largest archaeological preserve in the US. Explore cave dwellings inhabited by groups of nomadic American Indians as early as 7500 BC. Back in Durango visit one of the oldest craft breweries in the state.

Walk Denver’s revitalization through the city’s trendiest and most up-and-coming neighborhoods. Sample what local tastes like with lunch at an all-locally sourced café, then find your favorite Colorado beer among a selection of 15+ brews brought in from all over the state. Walk the path of Denver’s LoDo and RiNo revitalization. Have lunch at an all-locally sourced restaurant built inside a shipping container. Grab a beer from a selection of more than 15 local brews on a self-serve tap. Get a behind-the-scenes view of RiNo (River North)’s street art and architecture

Your walking tour shows you the transformation of Denver’s lower downtown warehouse district (LoDo) from an afterthought to 'the spot' for locals. Stroll through what was once skid row, past Coors Field, and into River North (RiNo), arguably the hippest up-and-coming neighborhood in Denver.

Along the way, stop for a lunch of all locally sourced food. The chef here forges personal relationships with each farm he works with; his team visits the farms and works in the fields with farmers to understand exactly what goes into the food they proudly serve. Next, you’ve got a very important decision to make: which Colorado beer will take its claim as your favorite? Don’t worry, you'll visit a local watering hole where you have plenty of time and can sample from a self-serve tap that features 15 local beers, a cider, and wine.

Then it’s off to explore the creativity of the River North Arts District, where the art refuses to be confined behind closed doors. Each year, artists are given free rein to turn the walls of local buildings into their canvases, and the results are stunning. You’ll have plenty of time to take pictures and decide which artists to follow on Instagram as you make our way through this living gallery.

Close out your tour with a short ride back to where you started on the recently opened Denver light rail line that runs the 25 miles from downtown to Denver International Airport.

Your tour starts and ends at Union Station; meet by the flagpole at the main street-side entrance (if there is inclement weather, meet under the awning by the main entrance).

After meeting up with your local Guide, we will make our way over to the River North Art District - RiNo - using the ingenious Denver-only rideshare company Hovit. RiNo is an achingly hip, up and coming neighbourhood that boasts a serious number of creative businesses and fun start-ups, without a chain store in site.  Our first stop will be one of Denver’s newest and most popular distilleries. Serving an impressive array of flavoured, seasonal gins and exceptional vodka amongst other ‘spirited’ drinks, no detail is overlooked by this family-run establishment. We will enjoy the bar and terrace area (weather permitting) as we sip superb liquors made from top quality local grains and fruit.  Next up it’s time to experience what Denver is famed for – its’ unbelievably good craft beer scene. We’ll make our way to our absolute favorite local brewery to sample a flight of beers. The large tanks inside may look ultra serious but don’t be fooled – this establishment may well be the most fun place in Denver to hang out on a summer evening and you’ll get to see why the locals love it so much.  After boozing on liquor and beer, we think it’s time to get some food in to you! And not just any food will do, we are going to take you to a place that has become a magnet for foodies all over Denver, where we’ll enjoy some locally sourced gastro delights that will show you why Denver is gaining a strong reputation as a fabulous foodie hotspot.  But wait - we’re not done yet! A short walk after dinner will take us to a beloved local Cidery, to try a uniquely dry style of cider. You will love the rare flavor profiles and interesting variations that this joint specialises in, so prepare to be wowed!  As we finish our rounds, you may find that you want to stay out and play and we wouldn’t blame you one bit, RiNo is AWESOME! We can leave you to marinate and find your own way home (we’re always happy to advise on the best way to do so!) or, if you decide to stick with us, we’ll drop you back near the Union Station area where there’s plenty more to see, do and drink during the rest of your dynamite Denver night out. Cheers!

All the top highlights of Denver in one tour! Explore the original founding ‘twin cities,’ dine out with us at one of our favorite local restaurants and then snap some seriously scrapbook-worthy selfies with our best sculptures and landmarks — eat your heart out Eiffel Tower! You won’t have to hold your breath either, as you stand exactly one mile above sea level for the perfect memory of your stay in the mile-high city.

We wanted to call this The Selfie Tour, given all the great photo opportunities we will pass along our route; from the Colorado state flags spanning across Larimer Square to the Iconic Blue Bear, four-storey Dancing Aliens (okay, they’re called "The Dancers"), the D&F clock tower and the eclectic sculptures along the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, your Instagram (or Facebook) account will thank you for taking this tour.

Your tour launches from Union Station. We’ll move towards Cherry Creek; one of the two rivers which flow into Confluence Park and site of the original settlements around what would later become the Denver we know today. Cherry Creek used to be a dumping ground but it has been transformed in recent years into a family playground and kayaking paradise ... All the top highlights of Denver in one tour! Explore the original founding ‘twin cities,’ dine out with us at one of our favorite local restaurants and then snap some seriously scrapbook-worthy selfies with our best sculptures and landmarks — eat your heart out Eiffel Tower! Your tour launches from Union Station. We’ll move towards Cherry Creek; one of the two rivers which flow into Confluence Park and site of the original settlements around what would later become the Denver we know today. Cherry Creek used to be a dumping ground but it has been transformed in recent years into a family playground and kayaking paradise. The river flows alongside the main commuter path that attracts most of Denver’s local bikers and joggers.

Weaving back into town, it’s time for a snack and we think our favorite French creperie is the perfect solution no matter whether you’re looking for something sweet or savory.

From there it’s a quick walk to the original site of Denver City (St. Charles). Here we explore the back alleys, pointing out a speakeasy or two you might want to try later in the evening.

Once we are fully acquainted with the best of Larimer Square, it’s time to get your selfie sticks ready. Next up is a stroll through Sculpture Park, home to Denver’s famous 50-foot sculpture “The Dancers.” After we’ve exhausted all possible angles, we’ll cut through Denver’s Performing Arts Complex, where we’ll check to see what’s playing tonight on any one of the multiple stages.

The selfie opportunities are not over, not by a long way! Our next stop is an epic selfie with “Big Blue,” the three-storey blue bear, which peers into the Colorado Convention Center. This giant and universally loved artwork is officially named, “I see what you mean.”

From here the tour makes its way over to the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall (not really a mall, despite the name), which spans downtown and is lined with eclectic art, street performers and public entertainment.

A tour of Denver wouldn’t be complete without showcasing the works of some of our most creative local artists. We’ll make a stop at the I Heart Denver store; everything inside was created in Denver, funnily enough.

Another must-do during your stay is a visit to the US Geological Survey’s official geological pinpoint of 5,280 feet, which confirms the city’s location, one mile above sea level.

Once everyone has the perfect selfie at exactly one-mile-high, the 16th Street shuttle will scoot us down to the famous Daniels and Fisher clock tower, a local landmark that was once the highest point west of the Mississippi.

We finish our tour with a quick shuttle ride back to Union Station, where you can continue your exploration of Denver’s great food, drink and entertainment offerings.
